Venus–Mars Aspects
Venus–Mars aspects describe how liking and wanting meet in one birth chart. Venus is attraction, affection, and spending. Mars is pursuit, anger, and sex. The angle is calculated. A birthday by itself does not name it. Look at the chart.

Orbs widen by about a degree and a half when the Sun or Moon is one of the two planets. A wide orb is a weaker contact. This page is the aspect inside one birth chart, not a comparison between two people.
Conjunction
A Venus–Mars conjunction puts taste and pursuit on the same degree. Liking and wanting arrive as one gesture. The person goes toward what they find attractive, and they find attractive what they are already chasing. Warmth and heat do not take turns. A flirtation has an aim. A desire has a style. In sex, the need to be wanted and the need to take are hard to split, which can make the contact feel simple from the inside. In money, the same fusion spends on what excites rather than on what merely looks correct. The sign they share colors the pace. Fire is faster and more public. Earth wants the attraction to have a body, a price, and a repeat. The conjunction does not make other people consent to that pace. It only means that, in this chart, charm and drive share a mouth. Other people often feel chosen and pursued in the same minute. That is flattering until the pursuit will not pause for a slower kind of love. A no can land as a rejection of the whole self, because the chart did not keep a gap between “I like you” and “I want you.” The hard part is saturation. There is little cool room where taste can refuse what the will has already started. Use the fusion where a life needs both, a courtship or a craft, and leave one want that is allowed to be plain.
Square and opposition
The square and the opposition pull liking and wanting apart. The person can desire what they do not respect, or love what they do not want, and the chart keeps producing that split. Anger and affection interrupt each other. Sex and care miss the same hour. Spending can be a fight with taste: the purchase that excites and the purchase that fits are not the same object. The square is the jam inside one week. Friction is daily, close, and hard to blame on a single person. They pick a fight with their own appetite, then call the appetite the other person’s fault. The opposition is the same argument across a table. One half is lived. The other half is met in a partner, who is asked to carry the missing want or the missing grace, and then resented for carrying it. The square irritates until a choice is made. The opposition needs an other, and it will find one. Neither aspect is a verdict that love fails. Both say the chart does not get desire and affection for free. The useful version names which one is speaking before the body acts. The costly version treats every attraction as a contest and every contest as proof of love. A partner is not required to play the missing half, and the chart gets clearer when that is said out loud.
Sextile and trine
The sextile and the trine give liking and wanting a route that does not require a crisis. Attraction can be warm and direct. Flirtation, sex, and spending have a style that other people can actually meet. The person is often good at wanting without humiliating what they want. The sextile is the skill you still have to use. The angle is a door, not a shove. Chemistry, timing, and a clean ask are available if someone bothers to open the door. Left unused, the sextile looks like a chart with no Venus–Mars story at all. The trine is the same ease arriving without the bother, which is why it can go unused in a different way. The talent feels like weather rather than a tool. They expect desire and affection to agree, and they are surprised when a partner’s chart does not work that way. The trine differs from the sextile because the gift does not ask to be practiced. It can be taken for granted, or spent on people and purchases that were only easy. Ease is the gift. It fails when it is mistaken for a promise that every bond will feel this simple. Practice the sextile on purpose once, so the trine is not the only way desire knows how to arrive in a room that did not start easy.

The angle is calculated from birth date, time, and place. A Sun sign does not name it.
