Pluto's birth date places that planet. Mars needs a birth date, and a birth time if the orb is tight, because Mars can change degrees enough to lose a wide contact. Orbs widen by about a degree and a half when the Sun or Moon is one of the two planets. A wide orb is a weaker contact.
Conjunction
A Mars–Pluto conjunction in synastry concentrates will between two people. The pair does not do a small conflict. Anger, sex, and ambition carry a survival tone, as if the bond itself were at stake whenever one of them pushes. Mars feels a wall that is also a magnet. The square is internal pressure in the shared life. The opposition is the war with a face, and the face is often the person they love. Neither aspect is a promise of violence. The sextile and the trine let strength be aimed between two people. Mars can push. Pluto can hold a hard truth. Neither has to live inside the struggle for the contact to work. Stamina, a clean confrontation, and the ability to finish a difficult thing together are available. Other people feel the capability, and sometimes an advantage the pair cannot see because it feels normal to them. The sextile is the choice.
